Dai-Yeun Jeong is the Director of the Asia Climate Change Education Center and an Emeritus Professor of Environmental Sociology at Jeju National University, South Korea, positions he has held since March 2012. He earned his BA and MA in Sociology from Korea University and holds a PhD in Environmental Sociology from The University of Queensland. With a robust academic and professional career, Professor Jeong has served as a faculty member at Jeju National University since 1981 and has held prominent roles including President of the Asia-Pacific Sociological Association and a teaching position at The University of Sheffield in the United Kingdom. His extensive contributions to environmental policy and sustainable development include serving on the Presidential Commission on Sustainable Development in South Korea, representing the South Korean Government at the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and OECD Environmental Meetings, and contributing to over 100 environment-related projects funded by domestic and international organizations. He has also authored 13 books, including Environmental Sociology, and published 60 academic papers in both domestic and international journals.

Prof. Zhou Xiaomin is a distinguished Professor at the School of Civil and Resources Engineering, University of Science and Technology Beijing. He holds a Ph.D. in Tunnel and Bridge Engineering from Beijing Jiaotong University, a Master’s in Mining Construction from China University of Mining and Technology, and a Bachelor’s degree from Shandong University of Mining and Technology. His academic career spans over three decades, specializing in geotechnical engineering, underground construction, and artificial ground freezing technologies. He has led numerous national research projects, including those funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the Ministry of Science and Technology. Prof. Zhou has published over 40 high-impact papers and authored key monographs such as Modern Civil Engineering Construction and Artificial Ground Freezing Theory and Technology. He is also a recipient of multiple provincial science and technology awards and holds patents related to deep shaft construction. He was a visiting scholar at the University of Alaska, USA. His teaching portfolio includes both undergraduate and graduate-level courses in civil engineering construction and sustainable underground design.

Prof. Felix T. S. Chan is currently Vice Dean and Professor at Macau University of Science and Technology. He holds a Ph.D. in Flexible Manufacturing Systems and a Master’s in Advanced Applied Mechanics from Imperial College London. With over three decades of academic experience, he has held teaching and leadership roles at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, the University of Hong Kong, the University of South Australia, and the University of Strathclyde. His teaching covers project management, operations research, and supply chain management. His research focuses on optimisation, scheduling, decision sciences, and logistics and supply chain management.

Kirubel Tefera Gesho is a PhD candidate in Road and Railway Engineering at Southwest Jiaotong University, China, and a lecturer at Dilla University, Ethiopia. His research focuses on the seismic performance assessment of transportation infrastructure, with particular emphasis on seismic fragility analysis and probabilistic seismic demand modeling of highway bridges in moderate-intensity seismic zones. His recent publications address nonlinear time-history analysis, component-level fragility modeling, and the statistical dependence of structural response parameters. He has also conducted applied research on dynamic load effects in airport pavements. Kirubel’s academic interests are structural dynamics, soil-structure interaction, and infrastructure resilience. He actively contributes to interdisciplinary efforts aimed at improving the safety and sustainability of civil infrastructure in seismically active regions.

Paulo C. DE MORAIS, PhD, is currently a Full Professor at the Catholic University of Brasília (UCB) – Brazil, a position he has held since 2018. He is also an Emeritus Professor of the University of Brasilia (UnB) since 2014 and holds a CNPq-1A Research Fellowship since 2010.He is a highly distinguished physicist and nanomaterials researcher, with over 40 years of experience in the field. His research focuses on the preparation, characterization, and applications of nanosized materials, including magnetic fluid, magnetoliposomes, magnetic nanoemulsions, and quantum dots. He has published over 500 papers, garnered more than 13,500 citations, delivered over 200 international invited talks, and holds 16 patents.

Dr Firas AL MAHMOUD holds a diploma (1999) in civil engineering, Phd in strengthening of reinforced concrete structures from National Institute of Applied Sciences (INSA), Toulouse France. Accreditation to supervise research (HDR) (2016). Prof. Firas AL MAHMOUD currently works at Lorraine University - France as a structural engineering educator. He teaches in several engineering schools. He was the Head of Civil Engineering Department at Lorraine University from 2017 – 2020 academic year. He has experience in education and research with emphasis on sustainable materials and rehabilitation, modelling, structures and structural strengthening. He also develops innovative strengthening techniques utilizing fiber reinforced polymers and cementitious-based mortar. He is an editorial board member and reviewer for several journals. He supervised many Master and PhD students.

Dr. Faisal Manzoor Arain is an experienced academic leader and construction project management professional with an MS and PhD in Construction Project Management. He has extensive experience working in management and leadership positions in industry and academia in Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, and Canada. Dr. Arain completed a Leadership Development Program from Harvard University, Boston. He successfully led the development of numerous baccalaureate and diploma programs, including Canada’s first Bachelor of Science in Construction Project Management degree at SAIT in Calgary, Alberta. He was appointed by the Saskatchewan Higher Education Quality Assurance Board (SHEQAB), Government of Saskatchewan, as the chair of the quality review panel for new baccalaureate degree program evaluation and participated in institutional review. Dr. Arain has a wealth of technical knowledge and experience, as he worked in numerous professional roles as an Architect, Project Coordinator, Project Manager, Director Projects, and Consultant with the construction industry in Singapore, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, and Canada. He has also consulted, researched and published widely in the disciplines of Project Management, Architecture and Design and Construction Management. He has served as referee for more than 50 technical journals, takes part of the Editorial Board of more than 15 technical journals and has conducted research on nanomaterials for over 40 years. He is known for his research in preparation, characterization and applications of nanosized materials (magnetic fluid, magnetoliposome, magnetic nanoemulsion, magnetic nanocapsule, magnetic nanofilm, magnetic nanocomposite, nanosized semiconductors, polymeric dots, carbon dots, and graphene quantum dots). Dr. Narmin Babazadeh Asbagh holds a PhD from the Faculty of Architecture, Department of Architecture, at Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU), Famagusta, Northern Cyprus. Her PhD dissertation is entitled “Interpretation Problems and Proposals for the Churches in the Walled City of Famagusta” (2023). Her Master’s Thesis at the Art University of Isfahan (Iran) is about the Conservation of Historic Buildings with the title “Conservation and Revitalisation of Mirza Mehdi Farashbashi’s House in Tabriz” (2011). Her Bachelor’s degree is in Architecture from the University of Zanjan (Iran), and her Bachelor’s Thesis title is “Quri-Gol Hostel Designing in Tabriz” (2007). She has published several articles and a book about the churches in the Walled City of Famagusta, Northern Cyprus: “Analysing the Entrances of Churches in Famagusta Walled City” (2018) and “Analysing the Windows of Churches in Famagusta Walled City” (2019). She has also published several conference articles: “The Adaptive Reuse of Cibali Tobacco Factory, Kadir Has University” (2018), “A Short Glimpse to the Urban Development of Tabriz during the History” (2019), and “Adaptive Reuse of the House of Mirza Mehdi Farrashbashi in Tabriz, Iran” (2021). She has been a member of the organising committee of the “International Conference of Contemporary Affairs in Architecture and Urbanism” since 2018, and she has been reviewing and editing articles in the “Journal of Contemporary Urban Affairs” since 2019. She has published a book chapter titled “Tomb of Sultan Bokht Agha and Two Minarets of Dardasht Neighbourhood in Isfahan, Iran” as the second chapter of the book “Heritage and the City” (2022), edited by Dr. Husam R. Another article derived 2 from her PhD dissertation is entitled “Cultural Heritage Interpretation: Proposals for Medieval Churches in Famagusta Walled City, North Cyprus” (2021), which was published in the Journal of the Web of Science “Conservation and Management of Archaeological Sites (CMAS)”. “Analysing the Divine Proportion or the Golden Ratio on the Plan and Façade of the Churches in the Walled City of Famagusta, North Cyprus” is published as the ninth chapter of the book “Convergence of Contemporary Thought in Architecture, Urbanism, and Heritage Studies” (2023) written by her and edited by Associate Professor Dr. Hourakhsh Ahmad Nia and Associate Professor Dr. Rokhsaneh Rahbarianyazd. She was the instructor of architectural, urban design, and interior design courses at the Department of Architecture, the Department of Urban Design and Landscape Architecture, and the Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design, Faculty of Design, Arkin University of Creative Arts and Design (ARUCAD), Kyrenia, Northern Cyprus (2024 – 2025 Spring Semester). Furthermore, she was teaching architectural and interior design courses at the Department of Interior Architecture and the Department of Architecture, Faculty of Architecture, Girne American University (GAU), Kyrenia, Northern Cyprus (2017, February – 2019, January). Similarly, one of her articles entitled “Analysing the Current Problems of the Abandoned Churches in the Walled City of Famagusta, North Cyprus” was submitted to and accepted for oral presentation at the “9th Annual International Symposium on Culture and Civilisation” that was held at Athens Institute for Education and Research (ATINER), which was held in Athens, Greece, from 10-13 June 2024. Her book, derived from her PhD dissertation, is entitled “Cultural Heritage Interpretation: Problems and Proposals for the Medieval Churches in the Walled City of Famagusta, Northern Cyprus” and was published by the Municipality of Alanya, Türkiye (2024). Dr. Prabowo is a Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Tarumanagara, where he teaches in both the undergraduate and postgraduate Civil Engineering programs. He earned his Ph.D. in Structural Engineering from The University of Hong Kong (ranked in the Top 30 of the QS World University Rankings). His doctoral research focused on bearing failure in cold-formed stainless steel and was fully supported by the prestigious Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme—an award granted by the Hong Kong Research Grants Council to the top 1% of global talents. His research was also sponsored by Outokumpu, a leading global producer of stainless steel. Dr. Prabowo is an active researcher in the areas of green construction materials, cold-formed steel structures, modular steel structure design, as well as seismic and fire-resistant design of steel structures. Beyond his academic and research work, Dr. Prabowo serves as an editor and reviewer for several national and international civil engineering journals. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Queensland, Australia, and currently serves as a Professor at K.N. Toosi University of Technology, Tehran. His work spans soil dynamics, foundations, ground improvement, and unsaturated soils, and he has supervised over 130 graduate theses. Prof. Ghazavi has authored numerous high-impact journal articles and serves on editorial boards of international journals. He has been ranked among the world’s top 2% of scientists by Elsevier–Stanford for multiple consecutive years.
